The shaped seamless steel tube can be used as a reinforcement or concrete anchor, as cooling or heating tubing in concrete or asphalt surfaces.

When used as a reinforcement or concrete anchor, there is also the signficant added advantage that there is not only the desired reinforcing effect but also space available to accommodate supply and disposal lines, and to allow for the supply and removal of heat and cold.

In the case of concrete and asphalt surfaces, e.g., the use of geothermal probes in combination with shaped seamless steel tubes enables heat to be dissipated more effectively to the ground, thereby reducing or preventing any detrimental heating of the roadway surface. Similarly, the same construction in winter allows for the absorption of heat from the ground, thereby avoiding the use of road salt and snow-clearing vehicles along with the associated damage to the roadway.
